The Comeback Queen: Spider Plant π±πΈοΈ
A.K.A. Chlorophytum comosum (but nobody calls her that)
Say hello to the ultimate retro houseplant β the Spider Plant is making a well-deserved comeback, and for good reason. With her cascading green-and-white striped leaves and adorable baby βspiderettesβ that dangle like living confetti, sheβs the life of the (indoor) jungle.
Spider Plants are the definition of easygoing: they thrive in all kinds of light, forgive the occasional missed watering, and are basically impossible to stay mad at. Theyβre also air-purifying champs, silently scrubbing your space while looking like leafy fireworks.
Care Tips (aka βHow to Let Her Do Her Thingβ):
Light: Loves bright, indirect light but will tolerate lower light too. Not too fussy.
Water: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering β her roots donβt like to sit soggy.
Temperature: Happy in normal room temps. Keep away from cold drafts.
Soil: Any well-draining potting mix will do. Bonus points for a hanging basket moment.
Bonus Fact: Those baby spiderettes? You can snip them off and plant them β itβs like she comes with built-in plant gifts. One becomes many.
